About The Role – Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our growing team in Wokingham.
The RoleWe are looking for a proactive Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Advisor to join our Regional Civils team on the SWDR project. This is a site-based role where you’ll play a critical part in ensuring safe delivery and promoting wellbeing across the project. Upon completion, you’ll have opportunities to progress onto further regional projects within Balfour Beatty.
The ProjectThe South Wokingham Distributor Road (SWDR) is a key part of Wokingham’s major infrastructure programme, creating vital connectivity between Finchampstead Road and London Road. This strategic route will support new housing developments and essential infrastructure south of the railway line.
What You’ll Do- Provide expert advice and guidance on Health, Safety & Wellbeing to the project team.
- Support operational delivery and help achieve our Zero Harm objectives.
- Drive proactive safety culture through engagement, inspections, and coaching.
- Assist in risk management, incident investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive site environment.
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or civil engineering.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage teams at all levels.
- Passion for promoting safety and wellbeing in a dynamic site environment.
