Job Description

We are seeking an Infrastructure Technical Consultant with broad knowledge and hands‑on experience across Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) & Hyper‑Converged Infrastructure (HCI). In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation and deliver modern infrastructure and platform solutions that meet customer business needs, supporting scalable, secure, and resilient environments across enterprise and hybrid landscapes. You will apply your skills across these technology areas to contribute to integrated infrastructure and digital workspace solutions where required, working as part of wider delivery teams to support end‑to‑end customer outcomes.

You will be responsible for implementing part or all of the agreed technical solutions, occasionally contributing to detailed technical designs, and providing informed technical input on solution integration, optimisation, and operational readiness. As a customer‑facing Technology Consultant, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with customers, architects, project or technical managers, and delivery colleagues to translate requirements into high‑quality, practical outcomes.

This role is well suited to a consultant with a positive and adaptable mindset, who is enthusiastic about taking on new responsibilities, open to learning and development, and motivated to grow their technical and consulting capabilities while contributing to a collaborative delivery team.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design.
  • Occasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions.
  • Understands a broad spectrum of company technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements.
  • Often leads small to medium technical projects.
  • Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives.
  • Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate.
  • Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment.
  • Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.
  • Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement.
  • Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment.
  • Communicates across client community, and is viewed as adding value.
  • Demonstrates execution of the company strategy.
  • Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learnings are documented and shared.
  • Role models Knowledge sharing and re‑use within practice or profession.
  • Proactively encourages membership and contributions of others to professional community.
  • Uses professions to meet the relevant certification and professional standards.
