We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Family Legal Secretary to join our busy family law team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Providing full secretarial support to family law solicitors
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
- Preparing court bundles and legal documentation
- Managing diaries, appointments, and deadlines
- Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and external agencies
- File management, both electronic and paper-based
- Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally within family law
- Excellent typing and IT skills (including Microsoft Word and case management systems)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Professional, approachable, and client-focused manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
