Qualified Social Worker - Family

Our client Wokingham Borough Council is looking for a Qualified social worker to join their Family Help pod.

• Provision of high quality, relationship-based social work to children, young people and families, ensuring their safety and promoting positive outcomes through effective, child-centred practice.
• Delivery of robust safeguarding practice in line with statutory responsibilities for children in need, child protection, and looked after children.
• Working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to co‑produce purposeful plans that support sustainable change and strengthen family networks.
• Contribution to effective multi‑agency working, maintaining strong professional relationships to improve outcomes for children and young people.
• Maintaining high standards of recording, report writing, and court work in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
• Championing corporate parenting principles and promoting the best outcomes for children in care and care leavers.
• Delivering effective and efficient practice in line with the Wokingham Practice Model, ensuring value for money and high‑quality service delivery.

Qualified social worker with experience in child‑centred practice. Must be fully registered with Remedy for all locum positions and have successful completion of an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS.
