What you will do:

• Receive, screen, and analyse safeguarding referrals, contacts, and requests for support, ensuring timely and evidence-based decision-making.
• Undertake robust risk assessments and threshold determinations following the Children Act 1989 and local safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate within a multi-agency safeguarding environment, gathering and sharing information to support effective child protection decisions.
• Provide professional advice, consultation, and signposting to partner agencies, families, and carers.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification (e.g., BA (Hons), MA Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in children’s social care and safeguarding.

Registration and Compliance:

• Current registration with Social Work England.

Experience:

• Significant post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care.
• Proven experience in child protection, referral and assessment work, or within a MASH/front door service.
