Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 driver looking for a new role in the vibrant Reading area? Our client is a highly sought-after company specialising in food distribution, offering a minimum of 45 hours per week and a competitive salary ranging from £39,500 to £45,500 per annum.

Key responsibilities:

* Operate a Class 1 articulated HGV safely and efficiently, specialising in trunk haulage routes

* Maintain the vehicle to the highest standards, reporting any defects or issues promptly

* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food products, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards

* Complete all necessary paperwork including delivery notes and driver logs

* Communicate effectively with the transport team and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations

* Comply with all relevant UK road traffic laws and company policies

What we’re looking for:

* Valid HGV Class 1 licence with current CPC and digital tachograph card

* Proven experience in trunk haulage, preferably within food distribution

* Strong sense of responsibility and excellent timekeeping

* Ability to work early shifts and adapt to ad hoc scheduling demands

* Knowledge of Reading and surrounding areas is advantageous
