HGV Class 2 Driver Starter

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client, who specialises in Waste Management and transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.

Bonus: £250 after full 4 weeks of driving and £250 after full 8 weeks of driving

Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday | 6.00 am till 3 pm

Industry: Waste & Recycling

The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed. A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential.

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
• Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
• Ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
• Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely

• UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 12 months)
• Digital tachograph card & CPC card
• Good team working skills and good communication skills
  
  Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
