Location:
Wokingham, Berkshire
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30, plus overtime
Holiday: 25 days annual leave
We are looking for a Junior Logistics Support Operative to join our Operations team and support the day-to-day despatch and logistics function. This is a hands-on role involving the preparation, packaging and dispatch of customer shipments and returns, as well as supporting deliveries, collections and courier bookings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and package parcels and palletised shipments
* Assist with daily deliveries and collections
* Make courier bookings and liaise with courier companies
* Support route planning and driver scheduling
* Maintain accurate records on the company system
* Drive company vehicles for deliveries and collections when required
* Attend customer sites and events when logistics support is needed
* Follow health, safety and environmental procedures
About You:
* Previous experience in warehousing, logistics or packing would be beneficial
* Comfortable handling parcels, pallets and heavy equipment
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
* A good problem-solver with a positive, solutions-focused approach
* Willingness to learn and develop within the role
* Basic experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is desirable
