ROLE

SUMMARY:

Reddam House Berkshire is a flagship UK school of the successful Reddam House International group. Set in 125 acres of wood and parkland, housed in a magnificent mansion building.

Throughout the school our emphasis is on independence; we expect our students to work hard in the belief that success is in his or her own hands. From babies in our Early Learning School through to our Sixth Formers moving on to University, students are active participants in setting the direction of their educational journey, developing a love of learning and being empowered with the self‑discipline that provides the bedrock for success.

We have 800+ students between the ages of 3 months and 18 years registered here (day students and boarders from age 11+). Children are recognised as individuals with unique skills to celebrate and given tailored support and guidance at each stage of their school career. Our structure of Early Learning School, Junior School, Middle School and Senior School means that every year group works with professionals who specialise and enjoy working with the students in their care.

The unique Reddam House philosophy and our formula for success are based to a large degree on the quality and depth of our curriculums, cultural and sporting activities and especially our teaching staff, fully recognising that what goes on in the classroom between teacher and student strongly influences the success of the school.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, engaging and reflective Junior School Class Teacher (Lower Junior School) to join a strong team of enthusiastic and committed Junior School teachers with varying levels of experience. To be successful, you will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, particularly in English, Maths and the Humanities, and consistently teach inspirational and varied lessons with the outcome of raising student attainment even further.

Experience working with Year 1 and 2 children is very beneficial. You will also be required to play an active role in the extra‑curricular activities run by the Junior School and/or elsewhere in the school. This is a role starting ideally in January, on a fixed‑term basis, with the intention to go permanent.

In addition to this position, you may also be interested in our in‑person Inspired Careers Event in London on Saturday 24th January 2026. This school and over 30 other UK and international Inspired schools will be attending to connect with teachers seeking new roles starting from August 2026.
