Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $88,583 - $104,215 per annum.

- Master's degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in counselling, clinical practice, mental health, or a related field.
- Current registration or licensure with an appropriate regulatory body, such as the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT), Nova Scotia Regulators of Psychology (NSRP), or Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW), and must be in good standing.
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision, mentorship, and/or training to counselling professionals or students.
- Experience working with student interns or in a clinical training environment is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional, ethical, regulatory, and accreditation requirements related to counselling and mental health services.
- Experience with client intake, assessment, referral, documentation, and clinical record management.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, informed consent, and ethical practices in counselling and mental health services.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations and service providers.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively and professionally to complex or urgent clinical situations.
- Experience with program development, evaluation, outcome measurement, and/or community outreach is considered an asset.
- Commitment to accessible, inclusive, client-centred mental health services and to supporting the professional development of emerging counsellors.

ResponsibilitiesAcadia's School of Counselling is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinic Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight of counselling and outreach services at the Red Spruce Mental Health Centre (RSMHC). This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to mental health and well-being by leading the development and delivery of high-quality, accessible counselling services while providing clinical supervision, training, and mentorship to counsellors and student interns.
Reporting to the Director, School of Counselling and working closely with the counselling faculty, the Clinic Director will help ensure the Centre responds to unmet mental health needs and expands access to counselling for individuals who may otherwise face barriers to care. The role will also support the development of the next generation of counselling professionals by providing meaningful clinical learning and supervision opportunities.
Through collaboration with community organizations and partners, the Clinic Director will support outreach, education, and awareness initiatives while ensuring that services meet applicable regulatory, professional, and accreditation requirements.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
