Custodian Janitor

Keep Chartwells facilities clean in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, using floor care, sanitation, and safe waste-handling practices. This hourly position pays $17.90 CAD.

As a Custodian or Janitor, you will maintain clean, orderly buildings for patients, visitors, and staff. Chartwells is part of Compass Group Canada, providing food service and support services in campus and other communities. The work includes cleaning floors, rugs, walls, windows, furniture, and assigned areas. You will also follow infection control plans and approved procedures.

• Collect and dispose of trash using approved procedures
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures
• Sanitize surfaces and clean assigned areas
• Move equipment and furniture for thorough cleaning
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors

• Previous housekeeping or custodian experience is an asset
• WHMIS and BSW certifications are assets
• Good verbal and written English language skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Physical ability to perform all job aspects
