Junior Archaeologist

Position: Junior Archaeologist Contract Opportunity

Can North aims to fill the Junior Archaeologist role from April 2025 to October 2025, with notable opportunities to extend. This contract position is perfect for candidates who enjoy conducting fieldwork such as shovel testing and excavating, while supporting experienced archaeologists. Laboratory responsibilities will also include cleaning and analyzing artifacts vital to project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveys and excavations under supervision

• Assist senior archaeologists in field operations

• Perform laboratory duties, including artifact management

• Contribute to office administration when necessary

• Support logistics and maintenance of project equipment

Requirements:

• Degree pursuit or completion in archaeology or related field

• At least 4 months of field experience or relevant training

• Valid driver’s license required

• Flexibility to travel and stay overnight for field projects

• Passion for outdoor work in challenging conditions
