Overview
Practice Accountant
Location: Albrighton (WV7)
Salary: £30,000-£38,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established practice in Albrighton that is looking for a talented accountant to join their team. Responsibilities- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
- Completing corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns.
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using software including Xero, Quick Books and Sage.
- Managing and supporting a portfolio of clients.
- Building strong client relationships and providing professional advice.
- Responding to client queries and delivering excellent service.
- Supporting senior team members with ad-hoc accounting assignments.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- AAT qualification, ACA/ACCA part-qualified status or equivalent experience.
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of business types.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and tax requirements.
- Experience using Xero, Quick Books, Sage or similar accounting software.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Salary of £30,000-£38,000 per annum depending on experience.
