Your new company Hays Finance is delighted to be supporting a growing and highly regarded business in Wolverhampton in the recruitment of a Financial Assistant Accountant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA professional who is looking for a varied, hands‑on role within a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.

It is a diverse, hands‑on role within a small finance team, offering exposure across finance, payroll, HR support and wider business operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive and adaptable finance professional who enjoys working across multiple areas of a business.

This is not a role for someone looking to specialise in a single area.

They are looking for a true all‑rounder who can roll up their sleeves and support a variety of accounting and business functions.

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Previous experience within an all‑round accounting position
• Comfortable supporting audits and year‑end accounting processes
• Experienced in management accounts preparation
• Knowledgeable in VAT, accruals and prepayments
• Experience of payroll and HR‑related administration is highly desirable
• Strong systems and reconciliation skills
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently
• Strong communicator who enjoys working within a small team environment
