Management Accountant

Hays are pleased to be partnering with an established Wolverhampton based business who are on the lookout for an experienced Management Accountant to join the wider finance team initially on a 6-month basis. This is a hands-on role with the potential for a full-time permanent position for the right candidate. We are happy to review qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA applications and QBE.

Your new role

Responsible for month-end accounting, including journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage expense processes
Maintain inventory, product costing, fixed asset, and lease accounting records.
Prepare intercompany, tax, and management charge journals while ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies.
Calculate key financial provisions, including bad debt and warranty reserves.
Produced variance analysis and reporting to support business performance reviews.
Submitted monthly financial data, ensuring accuracy within deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role, with a strong understanding of month-end close processes, accruals, journals, and a desire to implement continuous process improvement. You will be able to work effectively to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
