Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Accountant on behalf of a Firm of Accountants based in Hertford.

The Role As Accountant you will work with a growing firm primarily to assist with outsourced accounting duties for owner managed businesses and larger groups covering tasks such as Book-Keeping, MTD, VAT returns and outsourced Payroll.

Day to day duties will consist of:
Managing workflow to meet deadlines Accurate recording of all financial transactions through ledger postings, nominal journals, bank reconciliations etc Processing client records to software including Sage, Quick Books & Xero Payroll cover to assist the full time payroll clerk Payroll processing when required using Employment Hero Calculate & make adjustments for depreciation, prepayments, accruals & tax provision File VAT and MTD returns with HMRC & within accounting data Your Profile You will be an AAT Qualified or QBE Accountant with SME Accounting experience and ideally having worked in a firm of accountants specifically looking after outsourced accounts.

You will be interpersonally effective with the ability to deal with clients directly. Although a small part of the role Payroll experience is also required in addition to the strong book-keeping skills.

Salary and Benefits Role of Accountant is working 5 days in the office per week and offering a salary of £35-45K depending on experience.
