Overview
EXPERIENCED RECEPTIONIST 30 hours per week Salary based on experience.
We have an opportunity available to join our busy team, working a shift rota over 5 days. Early and late starts dependant on shift week. Reception experience in a demanding, fast paced environment essential, within a healthcare setting would be an advantage. Must be a quick learner, with a friendly calm approach and work well within a team setting. Good customer service and communication skills essential, via face-to-face, telephone and computer.
Must be able to work additional hours when required, which includes evenings and weekends.
To provide reception duties to Bilbrook Medical Centre as a whole.
Establish and maintain good working relationships and clear lines of communication with Practice Manager, all practice staff and the public.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Confidentiality must be maintained at all times. No information about patients, either medical or personal details are disclosed to persons other than those employed by or attached to the practice for whom such information is relevant.

Job responsibilitiesReception Duties:
Coverreception, dealing with enquiries and directing patients and visitors
Making/changingappointments on the computer system
Bookinghome visits, queries and complaints from patients and other agencies,forwarding messages and taking appropriate action
Orderingambulances, both routine and emergency
Maintaina visitors log and ensure all visitors are correctly signed in
Maintain the reception area/equipment
General:
Assist with post, sorting, distribution and preparing for posting as requested.
Generaladministrative duties, use of office equipment, scanner, laminator, shredder
Openingpremises and securing them at night when required (depending on shift).
Provide cover for colleagues during holiday and sick leave
Toattend relevant courses and in-house Statutory and Mandatory training as required
Undertake any additional tasks as requested by the practice manager
Person Specification Qualifications- Microsoft Word & Excel
- Customer Service/Reception
- Educated to GCSE English at Grade C or equivalent
- Able to demonstrate effective problem solving
- Customer Service/Reception in a similar environment
