Receptionist​/Ward Clerk

Overview

This role involves working across Perinatal Services to administer clinic preparation, manage appointments, update PAS demographics for ward transactions (admitting/discharging), filing, appointment booking, CNC, scanning, and related clerical duties. You will work in outpatient reception areas and ward reception areas and must be flexible. Staff are expected to demonstrate initiative in organizing workloads and making decisions within clearly defined limits.

• Provide clerical and reception support in connection with administration processes within Women and Neonatal services.
• Administer clinic preparation, coordinate appointments, and update demographic data for ward transactions.
• Perform filing, appointment booking, CNC, scanning, and related tasks; contribute to efficient reception coverage in outpatient and ward areas.
• Demonstrate flexibility to cover for colleagues and participate in different reception environments as needed.

• Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Proficient keyboard/data entry skills.
• A mature outlook when handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work with initiative and manage workload within defined limits.
• Flexible and reliable for covering in the absence of colleagues.
