You'll be handling everything from end-to-end payroll processing, timesheets, and dealing with SSP, SMP, and pensions, to setting up new starters and managing leavers. It's the nuts and bolts stuff that keeps the team going. You'll be expected to handle your tasks with minimal fuss, prioritise like a pro, and make sure everything's accurate. No hand-holding, just trust in your skills to keep things ticking over.
You'll also have a hand in supporting HR - think contracts, meeting notes, and maintaining records. If you've got experience with Sage 50 Payroll, that's a big plus. Microsoft Excel should be your go-to, especially if you're comfortable with VLookups. The salary sits at £16,965 (£28,275 FTE), with benefits like life cover, discounts, and a 24/7 GP service. Plus, there's a solid pension plan too.
To do this job, you'll need at least a year or two in payroll. Strong numeracy and attention to detail are your best friends here.
