Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm , working on a rota basis to meet business needs

Minimum 3 days per week in the office. During training, attendance in the office will be required full-time.
About the Role
City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a highly organised and professional Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to senior leaders within the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant or Office Manager who is confident working at executive level, managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings, handling confidential information, and ensuring the smooth running of administrative operations.
You will play a key role in supporting members of the Strategic Executive Board and wider senior management teams, helping them operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Providing high-level administrative and executive support to senior leaders.
Managing complex and ever-changing diaries, meetings and appointments.
Coordinating agendas, meeting documentation and follow-up actions.
Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and briefing papers.
Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Monitoring inboxes and responding to enquiries appropriately.
Arranging travel, events and executive meetings.
Taking accurate meeting notes and minutes where required.
Supporting governance and administrative processes across the organisation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
✅ Previous experience working as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives, directors or leadership teams.
✅ Strong administration and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
✅ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
✅ Experience managing complex diaries, meetings and executive schedules.
✅ Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
✅ The ability to work independently, use initiative and maintain confidentiality.
✅ Experience preparing reports, presentations and professional correspondence.
✅ Minute-taking experience would be highly desirable.
✅ Previous experience as an Office Manager or in a similar senior administrative role would be advantageous.
