we are seeking a highly organised, proactive and adaptable office administrator to join our busy general practice team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and can effectively manage multiple competing demands while maintaining a high standard of patient service.
the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, providing administrative support to clinical and non-clinical staff, and ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
please note, like many surgeries, we have a policy whereby staff cannot be registered as patients. If you are currently registered at albrighton medical practice as a patient, you would need to register elsewhere before your employment commenced.
main duties of the jobthe office administrator will:
- provide comprehensive administrative support across the practice.
- process incoming correspondence, emails and documentation accurately and efficiently.
- support patient registration, records management and document workflow processes.
- manage and prioritise a varied workload whilst responding to changing service needs.
- assist with appointment administration and patient communications where required.
- maintain accurate electronic records using emis, accurx, docman and microsoft office applications.
- support practice projects, audits and reporting requirements.
- liaise professionally with patients, clinicians, hospitals and external agencies.
- ensure compliance with practice policies, information governance and confidentiality requirements.
- undertake additional administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the practice.

- qualifications:
- gcses (or equivalent) including english and mathematics.
- good standard of it literacy.
- experience:
- previous administrative experience in an office environment.
- experience using microsoft office applications including outlook, word and excel.
- experience handling confidential information appropriately.
- ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- knowledge and skills:
