Pensions Assistant – City of Wolverhampton Council (West Midlands Pension Fund)
Salary: £26,403 – £28,142 per annum (Full Time, Hybrid).
About the RoleJoin our Operations Service area, based in the i9 building in Wolverhampton. This entry‑level role welcomes professionals ready to enter the pension industry.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate member pension benefits, including retirements, refunds, deferments, transfers and associated processes.
- Set targets and ensure achievement of key performance indicators for the team.
- Support day‑to‑day workload management, prioritising cases and ensuring prompt action.
- Process and validate all amendments to member records caused by changes in employment or personal circumstances.
- Provide a comprehensive and responsive service to employers regarding data queries and outstanding data issues.
- Strong analytical skills with a good grasp of mathematics.
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the pension sector.
