Salary: £50K - £60K+ Plus Car Allowance subject to experience
Are you an established Senior Construction Estimator with a flair for achieving success in Residential, Industrial, and Commercial projects? SWG Construction is seeking a seasoned Estimator to strengthen our team and aid in securing new build and refurbishment contracts. Negotiable salary based on experience, alongside 33 days of holiday entitlement.
- An applicable degree in construction or a related field, either finished or ongoing and or highly experienced in a similar role.
- A minimum of five years' experience as an Estimator with a principal contractor in the UK.
- Examine tender documentation, including drawings and technical documents, to prepare precise, detailed estimates.
- Arrange subcontract and supplier packages, including take-offs, and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to address queries.
- Organise and carry out site visits, communicating with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Evaluate cost factors, such as production time, materials, equipment, and labour expenses, to optimise profitability.
- Cooperate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to meet pricing requirements.
- Offer cost-effective, value-engineered suggestions and submit tenders.
- Transfer successful projects to the construction team without a hitch.
- Adept with Excel and familiarity with Causeway estimating software (preferred).
- Capacity to work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
