Building Surveyor

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring of repairs, maintenance, and minor works programmes for Council Buildings and Schools. You will work in a team that plans, prepares, implements, and monitors programmes to meet corporate and client requirements.

    37 hours per week

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, implement and monitor Council repair, maintenance, and minor works programmes for buildings and schools.

Ensure programmes meet corporate and client requirements and comply with current legislation, particularly fire risks.

Work independently and as part of a team to deliver projects efficiently.

Qualifications
  • A degree in Building Surveying or equivalent
  • Ideally working towards or holding MCIOB/MRICS
  • Post‑qualification experience in maintenance and minor projects, including NBS costings, and competence in AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of current legislation, especially fire safety in buildings
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
