Multi-disciplinary Artist – Wolverhampton Project (Closed)

Contact Kelly by Email.

Overview

Wolverhampton:
City of Youth Culture is a new 3‑year project of festivals, events, careers development and arts trails delivered by a partnership of cultural organisations. Co‑created with young people, the programme aims to improve self‑esteem, resilience, social skills and to build a lasting platform for cultural activity.

The project seeks a talented multi‑disciplinary artist who can work across a range of art mediums to create a piece of art that will be featured on an arts trail around the city. The artist will be local, have experience working directly with young people from diverse backgrounds, and will facilitate up to four workshops in the first two or three weeks of July 2024.

Workshops will bring groups of young people together to co‑create a unique artwork. The artist will guide and inspire participants, helping them express their creativity and contribute to the final piece. Prior experience with an arts trail is ideal, as the artwork should seamlessly fit into the overall trail.

Additionally, the artist will collaborate with a digital developer to create an augmented digital platform for the artwork, providing an interactive and immersive experience for viewers of the arts trail.
