Care Quality Commission invites applications for a Second Opinion Appointed Doctor (SOAD) within the Mental Health Directorate. You will assess complex treatment plans and decide whether proposed care under the Mental Health Act is appropriate, balancing clinical need with patient rights.
You will carry out independent assessments, either through hospital visits or remote assessments, and clearly document your reasoning to support safe, lawful care.
