Cleaner (Part‑time)

Location: Wilkinson Primary School, Bradley, City of Wolverhampton Council

Category and Pay: Grade 2 (£24,413–£24,796 pro rata, actual salary £5,675–£5,764). From £12.65 – £12.85 per hour.

Hours: 10 hours per week (term time only + inset days).

Start Date: Required from January 2026.

Wilkinson is a large two‑form entry primary school situated in Bradley with over 500 pupils aged 2–11. Governors are looking to appoint an experienced Cleaner.

• Support the school in providing a clean, tidy, hygienic, safe and well‑maintained learning environment.
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school and maintain security to safeguard the welfare of all persons using the premises.
• Cooperate with staff to support safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Occasional work during school holidays, depending on the school's needs.
• Undertake training appropriate to the post.

• Previous experience of cleaning, safe use of chemicals and using cleaning machinery desirable but not essential.
• Fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the role.
• Good individual and team skills, ready to deal with a variety of situations and challenges.
