Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant

Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge?

Do you have experience working with children with behavioural issues?

We are seeking a highly experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work full-time at a school in Wolverhampton.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and tidying up afterwards to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Assisting teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment
  • Recording and reporting pupils' progress to the teacher
  • Helping pupils stay focused during class
  • Supervising group activities, sports events, and school outings
  • Supporting teachers in managing student behaviour
  • Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children

  • A passion for inclusive education and a desire to make a positive impact
  • A patient, resilient, and positive attitude towards learning and behaviour support
  • Ability to communicate clearly with teachers and pupils
  • Ability to create an encouraging learning environment
  • Understanding and sensitivity towards children
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum for pupils
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later.
