The Opportunity

A highly popular and well-regarded Further Education college, located in the heart of Wolverhampton, is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Lecturer to join its growing academic team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FE lecturer or an industry professional looking to transition into teaching, to deliver engaging, high-quality business education to motivated post-16 learners.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality teaching in Business Studies across a range of programmes (e.g. BTEC, A-Level, T Levels, or equivalent)

* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate learners

* Assess, mark, and provide timely feedback in line with awarding body requirements

* Track learner progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to retention and achievement targets

* Support learners with academic progress, employability skills, and progression planning

* Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives

* Participate in quality assurance, standardisation, and internal verification activities

* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

About You

You will be passionate about business education and committed to helping learners succeed.

You will ideally have:

* A qualification in Business, Management, Finance, or a related subject

* Teaching experience within Further Education, or strong industry experience with a desire to teach

* Experience delivering BTEC and/or A-Level Business (desirable)

* Knowledge of current business practices and the ability to contextualise learning

* Strong classroom management and communication skills

* A learner-focused, inclusive approach to teaching

Teaching Qualifications (Desirable but not essential):

* PGCE / Cert Ed / DTLLS / Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training

* Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held
