Overview

Smile Education is working in partnership with The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust to recruit a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Wolverhampton
. The school offers weekly shifts
, with the potential for long-term and consistent work for the right candidate. This role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs
, particularly those with SEMH and ADHD
, and assisting with general staff absence where required.

• Have recent experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  in a UK school
• Be confident supporting pupils with SEMH and ADHD
• Hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Be able to work independently while also taking direction from the class teacher
• Demonstrate the ability to de-escalate challenging situations and manage behaviour effectively
• Be flexible, proactive
  , and able to accept morning bookings due to the nature of the role
• Provide a minimum of two references covering the past two years
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  , or be willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
