Hays Education are working with a supportive primary school in the Wolverhampton area who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and confident Year 4 Teacher from April. This is a full time role, Monday to Friday, continuing through to the end of the academic year.About the School

This is a friendly one form entry primary school with a strong community feel and a leadership team dedicated to creating a nurturing and consistent learning environment. The school values teamwork, clear communication and high expectations for both staff and pupils. You will be joining a committed staff team who work closely to share ideas, resources and best practice.

Your New Role

You will take full responsibility for the Year 4 class, which includes a small number of pupils with mild behaviour needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
  • Maintaining positive behaviour strategies to support learning and consistency
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress for all learners
  • Completing assessments and tracking pupils' progress effectively
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in this one-form entry setting
  • Attending meetings, including team meetings, reviews and parents' evenings

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 4
  • Confidence in managing behaviour using positive and consistent approaches
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet the needs of a mixed-ability class
  • A proactive and committed attitude to supporting pupils' academic and personal development
