Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children in the dining hall, playground and around the school.
- Encourage positive behaviour and good manners.
- Support children during play, promoting inclusive and cooperative games.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils in line with school policies.
- Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas as needed.
- Manage minor first-aid incidents (training can be provided).
- Enjoys working with children and understands their needs.
- Is calm, patient and confident in managing behaviour.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Is dependable and committed to supporting our school community.
- Can remain alert, proactive and safety-conscious at all times.
- A supportive, welcoming school environment.
- Training, including safeguarding and first aid.
- A role that makes a meaningful difference to children every day.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) clearance is required for this role.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children you are breaking the law if you apply for this post.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
