Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to support pupils with SEND needs in a warm and supportive school environment.

About the Role

* Provide support for pupils with MSI, ASD, PMLD, PD, and SLD across structured and sensory‑based learning.

* Adapt learning materials, communication tools, and sensory resources to meet individual needs.

* Assist with personal‑care routines, independence‑building tasks, and mobility support.

* Work collaboratively with teachers and therapy teams to deliver targeted interventions.

* Support pupils during enrichment activities, outdoor learning, and life‑skills sessions.

* Contribute to progress monitoring, behaviour support, and IEP reviews.

What We’re Looking For

* Experience supporting SEND pupils.

* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills.

* Qualifications such as CACHE, NVQ, or TA Level 2/3 are beneficial.

* Motivation to progress as a teaching assistant.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
