Birches First School are looking for a dedicated Early years Teaching Assistant. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support children within our welcoming First school. : 8:30am – 12:00pm, 1:00pm – 3:15pm, Mon - Fri

As a Small group Teaching Assistant in our Reception classroom, you will:

• Support children's learning and development through engaging, play-based activities that inspire curiosity and creativity
• Work collaboratively with our experienced EYFS team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Help children develop their social, emotional, and academic skills
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the pupil thrives
• Contribute to planning and assessment to meet individual children's needs

• Meets EYFS L2 TA standards or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and development matters
• Ideally have experience of working in Reception
• Ability to adapt learning and planning to meet a child's specific needs
• Skills in assessment and recording progress
• Willinness to undertake personal care needs if required
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents, colleagues and external agencies
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with teachers, SENCo and outside agencies
• Experience of managing SEND-related behaviours
• Commitment to supporting families and building strong home-school partnerships
• Dedication to continuous professional development

• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
