The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work across our school. We are looking for an individual with experience of working across the primary age range and are keen to join our fantastic, thriving school. St. Benedict Biscop was inspected in March 2023 securing an overall Good judgement with Outstanding Early Years, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management.
The school is part of St. Bartholomew’s Multi-Academy Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to join our friendly and supportive team. We are seeking Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work within our school. Experience of working across the school age range would be an advantage. Our support staff make a significant contribution to our children’s journey at our school. As a member of our team, you will support our whole school ethos to provide the best opportunities for the children in our care.
Alongside this role you may also support at lunchtimes, engaging in positive play and instilling out values through social interactions with the children.
We are looking for child centred, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who will support the Christian Ethos of our school. Working alongside the class teachers to support children to achieve their full potential. Working as part of a team but also independently to meet the needs of individual children.

Responsibilities- Supporting the class teacher within lessons.
- Providing one to one support for identified children.
- Supervising children at playtime and for social activities.
- Delivering interventions for individual and groups of children.
- Under the direction of the class teacher supporting specific lessons.
- Follow school procedures and demonstrate a commitment to keeping children safe.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Positive and hard working.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Be punctual, reliable and have a flexible working approach.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Be confident to follow school procedures and demonstrate a commitment to keeping children safe.
