The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher to join our friendly, committed and hardworking team. The candidate will be able to start employment in September 2026 and will lead a well‑established team of Early Years practitioners within our resource base. Windsor Nursery School is a dynamic learning environment serving children from the richly diverse local community, including children with English as an additional language, eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium and with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Responsibilities- Be an excellent early years classroom practitioner, committed to child‑centred learning with experience of supporting children with a range of complex learning and physical needs. Have a clear understanding of how to develop every child to their full potential.
- Have a passion for play and a love for learning outdoors; be observant and motivated to engage in reflective practice and a researching approach.
- Have proven leadership, management and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and be an excellent role model for others, including mentoring students.
- Have an understanding of the unique safeguarding vulnerabilities of SEND learners and be willing to be a deputy DSL.
- Work as part of a team and work closely with practitioners across all of our services to be a model and advocate for inclusive provision.

- To support the Headteacher in delivering a quality EYFS curriculum.
- To support SEND provision across the school.
- To be an ambassador for inclusion across the school through active delivery of the curriculum, responsive to each child’s needs, especially those with SEN.

- Strategic direction:
Promote and encourage an effective ethos that supports the vision, aims and policies of the nursery school. Continue to develop good working partnerships with staff, parents, other agencies, professionals and local community, communicating, consulting and reporting as appropriate. Model effective practice to staff, students and visitors. Provide an excellent EYFS provision with particular focus for those children with SEND. Ensure high quality opportunities and experience through close working with Headteacher, SNEYS and a range of other agencies.
Contribute to School Improvement Plan, SEF and policy writing as required by Headteacher. - Learning and Teaching:
Model effective teaching that engages interests of all children and meets their learning needs in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Support the staff team in planning and preparing effective learning experiences which reflect children’s interests, learning styles, developmental needs and special educational needs of children, especially for those with SEND. Support the Headteacher in monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning – collating and analysing data for the SEND children to ensure a responsive curriculum, and inform SEF and the School Improvement Plan. - Support Headteacher in the team development of observational record keeping and documentation of children’s learning, with a particular focus to the children with SEND. Responsibility for completion of EYFSP where required.
- Keep abreast of relevant current research and disseminate within the team. Have an active commitment to CPD, ability to lead by example, this may include conferences, research or appropriate courses. Share acquired expertise with colleagues and/or a wider audience.
