The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SEND Focus)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding and highly supportive team at Woodfield Primary School. We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and child-centred Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning, with a particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), across our vibrant and diverse school community.

This is a part-time Level 2 Teaching Assistant role (30 hours), with a key responsibility for providing precise, support for children with additional needs to access learning, achieve their individual targets and thrive within our inclusive environment.

The role:

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant with SEND responsibility, you will:

  • Provide precise targeted support for pupils with SEND, both within the classroom and through tailored interventions during pupils’ class/ social times.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to implement support plans and adapt learning to meet individual needs.
  • Deliver structured interventions to help pupils close gaps in learning and make strong progress.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development, promoting confidence and independence.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where all children can succeed.
