Overview

35 hours per week. Working: 8:15/30am to 3:45/4pm. Required to start as soon as possible.

St Luke’s is a Church of England (Aided) Primary School which is proud to be a central part of the diverse community of Blakenhall; we create opportunities for children to‘Aspire, Believe and Achieve’.

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated practitioner (minimum Level
2) to work within our school to provide targeted predominantly support for a child with SEND, particularly SEMH.

Responsibilities
  • working with staff and SENCO to establish appropriate learning support
  • planning and implementing agreed teaching activities
  • monitoring and evaluating pupils’ responses to learning activities through observational assessments and completing records of achievement/progress against pre-determined learning objectives
  • providing objective and accurate regular feedback on pupils’ achievement, progress, problems, etc.

Please note that as this position is subject to SEND additional funding, the post will be a fixed term position and reviewed on a regular basis.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
