SEN Teaching Assistant – Wolverhampton

£110–£115 per day

Long Term Futures is seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Wolverhampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, compassionate, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs.

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
• Supporting pupils to access learning both in the classroom and through tailored intervention activities
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement throughout the school day
• Assisting with the implementation of individual education and behaviour support plans
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and social development using positive strategies
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to create a safe and supportive learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers and the wider SEN team
• Promoting inclusion and celebrating each pupil's individual achievements

• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable
• A good understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a nurturing approach
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting pupils on a long‑term basis
