The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and committed Renewables Breakdown Engineer to join the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and dependable professional with expertise in renewable energy systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex issues effectively. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
Role Overview
The primary responsibility of the Renewables Breakdown Engineer is to carry out maintenance and repair work on renewable heating and hot water systems. This includes diagnosing faults, carrying out effective repairs, providing technical guidance, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current regulations and safety standards.
The role requires close collaboration with engineering and customer service teams, making teamwork and clear communication key to success.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults in renewable central heating and hot water systems across the region
* Provide technical advice and support to customers and colleagues
* Deliver high levels of customer care when interacting with clients and residents
* Communicate progress updates and complete required documentation (electronic and manual) accurately
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH requirements
* Follow stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure parts availability
Key Requirements & Attributes
* Proven experience working with renewable heating and hot water systems (essential)
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Professional, friendly manner with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and residents
* Gas qualifications (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence
* Successful completion of required criminal and reference checks prior to employment
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour lunch break)
