Manager, Quality Engineering

Work Schedule

Onsite – Wolverhampton, G  | Rotating shift pattern

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract review and dissemination of customer quality requirements into the business.
  • Support the appropriate teams from a quality viewpoint and ensure quality requirements are understood and incorporated.
  • Manage the management and introduction of new contracts into the company from a quality viewpoint.
  • Manage the customer interface on quality related issues.
  • Day to day quality engineering responsibilities:
    • Part Inspection
    • Conformity Inspection
    • Defect investigations / root cause analysis / 8D Investigations
    • Corrective action / improvement introduction
  • Responsibility for day to day Quality Assurance activities such as auditing, quality systems maintenance and improvement, where required.
What You’ll Bring
  • HNC/degree qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience working on own initiative without close supervision.
  • Experience in problem solving and corrective action implementation.
  • Good communication skills for interfacing with departments and customers.
  • Driver’s licence and willingness to travel, including overseas travel.
  • Competence in the use of measuring techniques and equipment.
  • Aerospace experience and understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems is an advantage.
Security Clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
