As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards. • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory requirements.
• Certify work completed in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent approvals.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately and in compliance with standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and performance.

This is a full‑time role based on site at RAF Cosford. Shift patterns for this role are 40 hours per week including weekends. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites may be required.

• Demonstrated experience working in a regulated aviation maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
• Holding relevant type ratings or experience across similar aircraft platforms.
• Working effectively within a team while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Communicating clearly with stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met.

• EASA Part 66 License (or UK CAA equivalent) – essential.
• Type rating(s) on relevant aircraft – desirable.
• Human Factors and EWIS training – desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain (BPSS) Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
