We're currently looking for an experienced graduate, ideally in Hydrogeology or Environmental Management with a strong hydrogeology aspect to join our Contaminated Land and Agricultural Soil team within the Environmental and Consent division. You'll work on a variety of projects across the built environment, transport, and water sectors—contributing to both office-based and fieldwork activities that protect land, water, and public health.

Ideally candidates should have undertaken a course in Hydrogeology or with a strong hydrogeology element to it. As our team includes a soils aspect there could also be opportunity to work alongside our soil specialists to undertake Agricultural Land Classification assessments and soil surveys.

• Conduct literature reviews and write desk studies
• Understand conceptual models, building on geological, hydrogeological, hydrological data and inputs from other sources of information
• Contribute to Risk Assessments (Contaminated Land, Groundwater, Human Health and Gas)
  • Contribute to writing reports (Risk Assessments and EIA)
  • Assist with and undertake modelling (especially hydrogeological models)
  • Assist with and provide GIS figures
• Undertake ALC and AIA and field surveys for soil projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions

Essential:

• Qualified to a minimum BSC in relevant subject (Environmental Science, Management and Ideally Hydrogeology)
• Knowledge of Geology, hydrology, conceptual models, modelling tools, risk assessment, environmental management and remediation
• Strong knowledge of hydrogeology, hydrogeological conceptualisation
• Strong communication skills for reporting and liaising with contractors and clients

Desirable:

• GIS skills
• Modelling skills
