The City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our City Housing Team.
As the successful candidate, you will support the team in the provision of a comprehensive service in all aspects of the Council’s Housing Managing Agents, which includes an Arms-Length Management Organisation (ALMO) and three Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs).
Working in Landlord Services, you will support the Council’s approach (as a landlord) to tenant engagement, insight, influence and scrutiny, reinforcing the aim of placing tenants at the heart of what we do, ensuring that they are provided with an excellent housing management service with access to a high-quality offer, and the right help and support when they need it. Working with the Performance and Improvement Officer you will use the results of Tenant Satisfaction Measures to understand how CWC as a landlord and its Housing Managing Agents are performing and apply these insights to inform and prioritise tenant engagement activity and oversee landlord-led Tenant Scrutiny across the City’s council housing as well as providing oversight of housing complaints, the Complaints Handling Code, communication with the Housing Ombudsman and interpreting learning from complaints and the Ombudsman to inform service improvement.
You will contribute to ensuring that housing services delivered on behalf of the Council by our Housing Managing Agents reflect regulatory requirements and deliver against Our City:

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate, negotiate and ensure accessibility of information across a range of audiences including senior leaders.
You will have an awareness of inspection/regulatory landscape for social housing, the Regulator of Social Housing, and the Housing Consumer Standards.
Our working arrangementsAll council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location.
Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
Please refer to the Job Description for further information on the workstyle assigned to the role you are applying for.
