Financial Wellbeing Support Officer
Location – Flexible
Term – 2 full time 12 month fixed term contracts
Salary – £36,363 – £40,777 (Grade
6)
City of Wolverhampton Council are seeking to recruit a Financial Wellbeing Support Officer within the Financial Wellbeing Service. This is an exciting opportunity to assist residents and partners to navigate the challenges of the Cost of Living and build sustainability and financial resilience.
Responsibilities- A good knowledge of the DWP benefits and welfare system.
- The ability to develop and maintain new partnerships with the voluntary and community sector across the city.
- Bring Financial Wellbeing initiatives from the delivery plan to life, by thinking creatively.
- Work with key stakeholders and partners to distribute Household Support Fund to those most in need.
- Assist individual residents to navigate their way through financial challenges and build resilience to avoid future crisis.
- Support new initiatives that promote sustainable approaches to support.
Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of welfare systems, experience building community partnerships, creative problem solving and ability to deliver fund distribution.
Experience with financial wellbeing initiatives is preferred.
