Finance Manager/Management Accountant

Trowbridge, Wiltshire

Hours:

35 hours per week, Monday-Friday Our client are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and support the Head of Finance in driving improvements, controls and reporting. This is a hands-on, commercial role with real breadth - ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also contributing at a senior level. What you'll be doing:
Overseeing end-to-end finance operations Managing and supporting an Accounts Assistant Producing monthly management accounts with clear commentary (for internal and external clients) Preparing accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations Preparing payment runs and VAT returns (in-house and client-based) Supporting budgeting, variance analysis and ad-hoc projects Providing cover across the team when needed

What we're looking for:

Strong all-round finance experience with excellent attention to detail

Experience of producing end to end management accounts within an SME is essential Confident communicator who enjoys working in a small team Organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities Someone keen to improve processes and add value beyond the numbers In return, you'll join a supportive environment with exposure to all areas of the business, the chance to grow with the role, and the opportunity to quickly establish yourself as a trusted member of the senior team.
