Job Description & How to Apply Below

We're looking for a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our Financial Performance team and play a key role in supporting the University's growing portfolio of UK and international partnerships.

In this role, you'll provide comprehensive financial and administrative support across our partnership activities — from partner reconciliations and payment processing to management accounts and budget monitoring. You'll work closely with the Education Partnership Unit, academic faculties, and external partners to ensure accurate financial governance, timely reporting, and strong stakeholder relationships. This is a new post that will make a direct contribution to the University's internationalisation ambitions under Strategy 2035.

What

You'll Do
  • Prepare partner reconciliations using enrolment data and resolve discrepancies with partner institutions
  • Process partner payments in line with Memorandum of Co-operation agreements
  • Produce and present monthly Management Accounts for the Education Partnership Unit
  • Monitor budgets, update forecasts, and provide variance analysis throughout the year
  • Act as finance business partner for the Education Partnership Unit, including monthly budget meetings
  • Support the costing of new partnership agreements and business case development
  • Assist with tax matters and audit preparation relating to partnership activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of partnership financial processes and reporting
About You
  • Experience in management and financial accounts within a complex organisation
  • Strong IT skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and financial information systems
  • Part-qualified or finalist with a CCAB body (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or actively studying
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with non-financial colleagues and external partners
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
Desirable
  • Experience in the education or public sector
  • Knowledge of international partnership or franchise finance arrangements
  • Experience supervising or supporting other team members

If you're ambitious, collaborative, and ready to take on a varied and impactful finance role, we'd love to hear from you.
