About the Role

We're looking for a commercially focused FP&A professional to join our Finance team, playing a key role in delivering financial insight and supporting business performance at our Wolverhampton site.

In this role, you'll be responsible for analysing financial results, delivering accurate forecasts and budgets, and providing meaningful insights that help shape strategic decision‑making. Working closely with the FP&A Manager and cross‑functional stakeholders, you'll challenge performance, identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost reduction, and support initiatives that drive business growth and value creation.

You’ll become part of a collaborative Finance team made up of qualified, part‑qualified and early‑career professionals, with excellent opportunities to develop your technical expertise, commercial understanding and stakeholder management skills within a global organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

Analyse monthly financial performance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while providing clear insight into key business movements and trends.

Support the delivery of weekly forecasts, monthly forecasts, annual budgets and long‑term strategic plans, ensuring submissions are accurate, aligned and delivered on time.

Take ownership of the consolidation of sales and margin reporting across all value streams for actuals, forecasts and strategic financial planning.

Develop and maintain reporting templates that meet the evolving needs of Finance and key business stakeholders.

Maintain robust financial controls to ensure the integrity, accuracy and consistency of consolidated financial data.

Investigate data issues, identify root causes and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

Deliver proactive financial analysis to support FP&A reporting and provide meaningful insights that influence business decisions.

Build strong relationships across the business, partnering with operational and functional teams to challenge performance and drive continuous improvement.

Support the Finance Digital team in automating financial reporting processes, helping to improve efficiency and reporting capability.

Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting, data collection and consolidation processes, contributing to the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with Safran accounting policies, internal controls and IFRS reporting standards.

Provide wider support across the FP&A team, contributing to ad hoc projects and business priorities as required.

Essential
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong Analytical skills with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent financial planning, analysis, and reporting skills
  • Ability to digest and manipulate complex data sets to translate into meaningful information.
  • FP&A or management accounting experience in a manufacturing and engineering business.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, be self‑motivated and be an effective communicator.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a matrixed or global organisation
  • Knowledge of Aerospace
