Job description About the Role

We're looking for a commercially driven Finance Business Partner to support the Value Stream Director in delivering short and long-term financial objectives.

This is a highly visible role where you'll provide strategic financial insight, influence business decisions and drive operational performance. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities to improve margins, optimise costs and support sustainable growth, while leading and developing a high-performing Finance team.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Partner with the Value Stream Director and leadership team to provide financial insight that supports strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Lead, coach and develop a Finance team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Drive financial performance through margin improvement, cost optimisation and value creation initiatives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Deliver scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess business risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Programmes and Supply Chain to support cost control, business cases and project performance.
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights that influence business decisions.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, working capital management and capital investment appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with Safran financial policies, statutory requirements and internal controls.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, reporting tools and ERP system utilisation.

Candidate skills & requirements Essential
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Excellent financial planning, analysis, and reporting skills
  • Ability to digest and manipulate complex data sets to translate into meaningful information.
  • Able to demonstrate strong leadership behaviours to project a vision, engage and develop a finance team and to drive accountability.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a matrixed or global organisation
  • Knowledge of Aerospace
  • Experience with digital finance transformation or automation tools
  • Exposure to capital investment analysis and cost accounting
  • Lean / continuous improvement mindset
