Cash & Treasury Accountant

Position: Cash & Treasury Accountant
Gleeson Recruitment Group are exclusively supporting an international manufacturing organisation with the appointment of a Cash & Treasury Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining cash management, forecasting, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement within a complex business environment.

Working closely with senior finance leadership and operational teams, you will play a key role in optimising cash performance, improving working capital, and delivering high-quality financial insight to support business decision-making.

The Role

This is a highly visible position with responsibility for overseeing cash reporting, forecasting, and treasury-related activities across several UK entities.

Key responsibilities will include:

Producing accurate cash flow reporting, forecasts, and budgets.
Monitoring and analysing cash performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Managing and reviewing bank reconciliations and cash-related controls.
Leading initiatives to reduce overdue customer debt and improve working capital performance.
Providing clear and meaningful analysis of foreign currency movements and their impact on the business.
Supporting hedging and foreign exchange exposure management through insightful reporting and recommendations.

About You

We are interested in speaking with qualified finance professionals who combine strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent analytical and communication skills.

You will ideally have:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
Previous experience in cash management, treasury accounting, or working capital optimisation.
Strong financial planning, forecasting, and reporting expertise.
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large and complex data sets.
